FRANCIS STEYN
Francis Steyn is the LandCare co-ordinator for the Western Cape and a leading voice for conservation agriculture. He obtained a master’s Degree in Sustainable Agriculture at the University of the Free State. He has been employed in the Department of Agriculture in the Western Cape for 41 years and has extensive experience in sustainable resource management. Specialist fields that he has worked in are irrigation, conservation agriculture, area wide planning and community based natural resource management. He is committed to the sustainable management of our natural resources and the people that manage these resources. He loves to sample the organic wines of the Cape and is passionate about dancing (preferably along a river).
