DIRECTIONS to Strawberry Hill Farm (in google Maps)

3 HOURS FROM CAPE TOWN
  • Take the N2 from Cape Town towards George.
  • Just past Swellendam and Buffelsjag River, take the left-hand turn-off towards Suurbraak/Barrydale R324/R322. Continue through the town of Suurbraak and past the turn-off for Barrydale via Tradouw Pass.
  • The tar road becomes a dirt road (limited cellphone reception).
  • Continue to a T-junction, keep left towards Strawberry Hill/Strawberry Hill Farm and keep left at the next fork towards Strawberry Hill.
  • Continue past Honeywood Farm. The next road to the left pass a metal gate will take you to the Strawberry Hill Farm office venue and the Grootvadersbosch Conservancy. 
  • If you miss the metal gate, you will reach Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve Office (which means you’ve gone a touch too far). 
2 HOURS FROM GEORGE
  • Turn off the N2 just before Heidelberg at the sign to Barrydale. 
  • Go through Heidelberg Town and continue over the railway line
    Continue until road becomes gravel
  • Turn right to Strawberry Hill and Grootvadersbosch 
    Continue straight, following signs to Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve and Honeywood and Strawberry Hill.
  • Continue past Honeywood Farm. The next road to the left through a metal gate will take you to the Strawberry Hill Farm office venue and the Grootvadersbosch Conservancy. 
  • If you miss the metal gate, you will reach Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve Office (which means you’ve gone a touch too far). 
40mins from Barrydale
  • Take the R324 through the Tradouw pass towards Suurbraak. Coming out of the pass you will reach a T-junction. Turn left towards Heidelberg. (The tar road becomes a gravel road after a few kilometers.)
  • Continue to a T-junction, keep left towards Strawberry Hill/Strawberry Hill Farm and keep left at the next fork towards Strawberry Hill.
  • Continue past Honeywood Farm. The next road to the left pass a metal gate will take you to the Strawberry Hill Farm office venue and the Grootvadersbosch Conservancy. 
  • If you miss the metal gate, you will reach Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve Office (which means you’ve gone a touch too far). ​

DIRECTIONS TO JOUBERT TRADAUW WINE FARM (IN GOOGLE MAPS)

  • Situated on the R62 from from Cogmans Kloof through the magnificent Tradouw Valley and 12km before Barrydale.
  • 233km (3 hours) from Cape Town
  • 56km (45mins) from Swellendam (over the incredible Tradouw Pass)

DIRECTIONS TO SKEIDING GUEST FARM (IN GOOGLE MAPS)

Directions from Swellendam
  • Take the N2 towards Mossel Bay. 45 km after Swellendam, look out for the farm sign on your left. Follow the tar road for 2 km. You’ll see another sign on your left – turn onto a gravel road. Carry on for 3 km and turn left again. You’ll see the house on the hill!
Directions from Heidelberg
  • Take the N2 towards Swellendam. 10 km after Heidelberg look out for the farm sign on your right. Follow the tar road for 2 km. You’ll see another sign on your left – turn onto a gravel road. Carry on for 3 km and turn left again. You’ll see the house on the hill!
Directions from Barrydale
  • Take the R324 through the Tradouw pass towards Suurbraak. Coming out of the pass you will reach a T-junction. Turn left towards Heidelberg. (The tar road becomes a gravel road after a few kilometers.) Drive for 13,5 km along this road towards Heidelberg – look out for the farm sign on your right. Carry on for 3 km and turn left again. You’ll see the house on the hill

DIRECTIONS Voorstekop Farm (TWEEKOP FARMS IN GOOGLE MAPS)

  • The farm is siuated on the N2 25km out side of Heidelberg  (towards Swellendam). 
  • From Swellendam it is a 25min drive on the N2 towards Swellendam (33km). The farm is well marked.
Travel from Skeiding Guest house (20km and 20mins)
  • On leave Skeiding turn right at the first T junctions towards the N2
  • Keep right at the next T junction when the road becomes tar
  • Continue to N2 and then turn right on to N2 
  • Turn left into farm ​

Travelling on N2 from Swellendam

  1. Turn right outside of Swellendam following signs to Buffeljags River and Olivedale
  2. Turn right to Olivedale Road
  3. Continue straight
  4. Pass Rotterdam Hotel on left
  5. Road will become gravel with signs to Olivedale Vineyard on the left.
Travelling on N2 from Heidelberg
  1. Turn left after the Buffeljags BP Garage following signs to Buffeljags River and Olivedale
  2. Turn right to Olivedale Road
  3. Continue straight
  4. Pass Rotterdam Hotel on left
  5. Road will become gravel with signs to Olivedale Vineyard on the left.

DIRECTIONS TO JOseph Barry Distillery (IN GOOGLE MAPS)

  • On the R62 just 1km on the Montague side of Barrydale 
  • Just beyond the Turn off from Tradouw Pass and on the right just before the Caltex Garage  
  • 44km (40min) from Swellendam
  • 35km (40mins) from Strawberry Hill Farm

  • Located in Swellendam in the Carlton mall on Voortrek Street
  • The entrance to the parking for the mall is next to the Spar
  • The shop is located in the Carlton Mall
