The festival has its own Youth Foundation to enhance opportunities for rural youth. Linked to youth day, the festival includes workshops by visiting artists, educational and recreational activities in rural schools.

The festival is inspired by the silvery glow of the Langeberg Mountains. The natural beauty of the area is coupled with a rich cultural heritage and genuine rural hospitality. We also showcase local cuisine and access to adventures, such as hiking and mountain biking. The weekend is specially designed to promote the incredible natural history of the Grootvadersbosch area with talks from leading conservationists and scientists.
