EmmaNuel Bach
Emmanuel won the 2018 Royal Over-Seas League Strings Competition and has performed at Queen Elizabeth Hall, Wigmore Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields, St James Piccadilly, St John’s Smith Square and St George's Bristol. Maxim Vengerov described his playing of the Brahms Concerto as ‘a superb rendition...a very deep and emotional performance.’ Formerly a Countess of Munster Trust Artist, Emmanuel regularly gives recitals and performs concertos across the UK and also abroad. He has performed as a co-soloist with Anne-Sophie Mutter in JS Bach’s Double Concerto and has performed live and been broadcast on BBC Radio 3. Classical Music Daily praised his ‘deeply thoughtful musicianship.’
As a soloist, Emmanuel has performed many concerti, working with conductors such as David Hill MBE, Jonathan Willcocks, Maxim Vengerov, Ken Woods, Eric Rycroft, Darrell Davison, Stefan Hofkes, Dominic Grier, Rob Hodge, Chris Hopkins and Christopher Stark. As a chamber musician he has performed at festivals and venues in the UK, Europe, South Africa and the USA, including Norfolk Festival (USA), CreArt Box (Spain), IMUSE (Belgium), Johannesburg International Mozart Festival (South Africa), BBC World Music Day and Beaminster Festival. Reconnecting with his roots, he has toured South Africa several times. Awards include special prizes in the Premio Rodolfo Lipizer and the Concours International de Mirecourt and an English-Speaking Union Scholarship.
Emmanuel read Music at Magdalen College, gaining a Double First. He received a Master's from the Royal College of Music, studying with Natasha Boyarsky, and an Artist Diploma, studying with Radu Blidar. He also studied with Dr Felix Andrievsky. He has received masterclasses from violinists including Miriam Fried, Shlomo Mintz, Maxim Vengerov and Pierre Amoyal. Emmanuel has recorded three CDs, most recently ‘Lennox In Paris’ (Willowhayne Records), described by Pizzicato as 'an intense journey through time'.
